Terms of Service

sofasports (www.sofasports.co.uk) is an independent community project for esports fans to follow rankings, tournaments and results, and to talk teams and meta.

sofasports is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Riot Games, Valve, Blizzard Entertainment, Psyonix, or any tournament organiser. All game titles, team names and logos belong to their respective owners.

By creating an account or using the site you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use sofasports.

You must be at least 13 years old to create an account, or the minimum age required in your country to consent to online services.

You can sign up with an email address and password, or with Discord, Google or Microsoft. You are responsible for keeping your login details safe and for anything done under your account.

Pick a username that is not misleading, offensive or infringing. We may ask you to change it, or change or suspend it ourselves, if it breaches these terms.

One account per person for community features. If your account is suspended you must not create a replacement without permission.

Be a good couch guest: no harassment, hate speech, threats, doxxing, spam, cheating services, or sexually explicit material involving minors.

No unlawful content, no malware, no scraping or bulk harvesting that degrades the service, and no attempts to break into other accounts or our systems.

Forum posts, team pages and chat must stay on the right side of the law and respect other fans, players and staff.

We moderate on a proportionate basis and may remove content, warn, mute, suspend or close accounts that breach these rules or harm the community.

You keep ownership of what you post. By posting you give sofasports a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, display and distribute it so the site works (for example showing your forum posts and team pages).

Do not post anything you do not have the right to share. If you believe content infringes your rights, tell us and we will review it promptly.

Rankings, fixtures and results shown on sofasports may come from third-party sources such as the PandaScore esports API or a bundled sample snapshot. Scores and schedules can change or contain errors; always check the official organiser for the authoritative record.

The site design, branding and original copy are ours. You may not copy or resell the service itself.

sofasports is provided for personal, non-commercial community use. Commercial reuse of our pages or data feeds without written permission is not allowed.

Do not abuse rate limits, circumvent access controls, misrepresent your identity, or use the service to build a competing data product from our pages.

We aim for good availability but the service is provided “as is” without warranties. Live data depends on upstream providers and may be delayed or unavailable.

You can stop using sofasports at any time and can ask for your account to be deleted (see the Privacy Policy).

We may suspend or close accounts, remove content, or restrict features where needed to enforce these terms, protect users, or comply with law. Where practical we will explain what happened and how to appeal.

Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or consumer rights you hold under applicable law.

Otherwise, to the maximum extent permitted by law, sofasports is not liable for indirect or consequential loss, loss of data, or loss arising from reliance on community content or third-party results data.

We may update these terms as the site evolves. Material changes will be flagged on the site, and continued use after the effective date means you accept the updated terms.
